Job offer in Image Processing – monitoring activities in a highly constrained environment in terms of safety and security
Job description
Laboratory ImViA (Université de Bourgogne), specialised in the field of image processing and computer vision, and the company Interfluence Energies SAS on behalf of X’Plan Research (XPR in abreviation), under creation, (https://www.x-plan.solutions/), specialized in the development and monitoring of complex project schedules in the industrial and nuclear field in particular, are looking for a recently graduated PhD (during academic year 2019-2020 or 2020-2021) in the field of signal and image processing for a Research and Development project based on image processing and augmented reality.
The project will consist in the development and the integration of an additional block into a software by X’Plan Solutions for monitoring activities in a highly constrained environment in terms of safety and security.
The software block will implement techniques for recognizing objects and fixed infrastructures, located in a risky industrial environment. It will add new functionalities that will increase the performance of the software.
The final aim is to integrate augmented reality into the day-to-day maintenance projects in order to:
- Increase the safety of the interventions
- Contribute to the strengthening of the safety of workers,
- Significantly reduce health pollution,
- Improve the operational performance of all the players in the industrial sector.
The recruited person will work in close collaboration with the company Interfluence Energies SAS / X’Plan Research (in Le Creusot) and the Laboratory ImViA (in Le Creusot). Rigor, respect for confidentiality and the ability to critically analyze results are required for this position.
Qualification and eligibility
Recently graduated PhD (during academic year 2019-2020 or 2020-2021) in the field of signal and image processing.
Type of contract
24 months renewable. Starting as soon as possible.
