ImViA laboratory comes from the Electronics, Computer and Image Laboratory (Le2i), a research laboratory under the supervision of the University of Burgundy from 1996 to 2018, Arts et Métiers ParisTech from 2014 to 2017 and the CNRS from 2001 to 2017. The complementarity of these three teams and their thematic coherence allow the creation of a research unit based on common scientific bases, supported by some strong markers that have punctuated their research activity: Geographically, the ImViA laboratory is located on the sites of Dijon and Le Creusot with the strong desire to avoid the geographical spread of the same line of research. The three-team structure that was chosen makes it possible to identify three research themes combining specificity and complementarity, mainly in Dijon for the two fist team and in Le Creusot for the last team, namely the ERL CNRS 6000.
